Mr David Doral

David Doral is an aerospace engineer and technology executive with over 25 years of international experience in aircraft design, advanced manufacturing and industrial innovation. He has held senior engineering and executive roles at leading aerospace organisations including Boeing, Airbus Defence & Space, Aernnova, AERTEC Solutions and Quickstep, working on major commercial and defence aircraft programmes including the B777-300ER, A380 and A400M. He has led large multidisciplinary engineering teams and managed multimillion R&D and industrial programmes focused on composite aerostructures, automation, advanced manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 implementation. As Founder and CEO of Dovetail Electric Aviation, he leads the development of proprietary electric and hybrid-electric propulsion technologies for regional aircraft, including battery systems, electric propulsion architecture and retrofit integration platforms. His work focuses on enabling scalable industrial deployment of lower-emission aviation technologies through innovation in propulsion, manufacturing and certification strategies. David holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, combining strong technical expertise with strategic and commercial leadership experience across Europe and Australia.
